Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered into an embedded search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. Benton County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy policy controls its handling of a submitted query.
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless doing so is required by law or necessary to respond through a service provider.
Automatic Technical Information
Normal web operations may produce technical and usage data when a page loads. That data can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring page or site; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies and similar tools help measure how pages are used. A visitor may block cookies in the browser, though some functions may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected data supports routine operation and improvement. It may be used to:
- keep pages available and responsive;
- send a search request to the selected partner;
- measure which resources visitors use;
- diagnose errors and security issues; and
- display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Outside Sites and Advertising
Links may lead to Benton County offices, Mississippi corrections resources, public-record portals, federal locators, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy rules apply. This site does not control those policies.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs on their systems, subject to their notices and opt-out methods.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:
- search partners that receive a submitted query;
- analytics services that measure traffic;
- advertising networks that deliver ads; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal demand.
Security Measures and Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information in our control. No internet-connected service can promise complete security, however. We cannot guarantee that data will never be intercepted, misused, lost, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify a request, a person may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data we hold;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete eligible information; or
- opt out of certain processing.
Browser, device, analytics, and advertising settings may provide more direct controls for cookies and interest-based ads.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as practices, vendors, or legal duties change. A new version takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date.
